Shurijo Castle Park
In 1429, King Sho Hashi unified Okinawa, and Shurijo Castle became the palace of the Ryukyu Kingdom and has played an important role in politics and culture. With influences of Chinese and Japanese architectures, the castle boasts the magnificent Ryukyuan style. At the south hall of the castle, arts and crafts from back then were exhibited to give visitors a glimpse of the history of Okinawa.

Ryukyu Sabo Ashibiuna
Close to Shurijo Castle Park, the old house of the Ryukyu Kingdom era is used as an Okinawan cafe restaurant, Ashibiuna.
