Photo Gallery (Terms of Use)

1. Permitted use

1) As a general rule, photographic material is requested to be used for the purposes of promotion of Okinawa tourism and conventions (e.g. use in pamphlets, leaflets, magazines, newspaper articles, advertisements, websites, teaching materials, etc.).
2) OCVB holds all copyright on images within the Okinawa Photo Gallery, without exception.

2. Prohibited matters

1) The production, either for profit or without charge, of any goods in which the photographic material is used as the main feature, such as calendars, wallpaper, posters, postcards, resource collections, photograph collections, merchandise labels, etc.
2) The use or registration of photographic material as a trademark.
3) The transfer, distribution, transmission, loan, or sale of photographic material to a third party.
4) In cases where the photographic material is used in a printed article, the use of said material for any purpose other than that for which the application was made.
(Please delete all data copied in the course of use, after the use.)
5) The processing or editing (trimming, etc.) of photographic material.
6) The use of photographic material in a manner that is contrary to the interests of public order and morals and use for political or religious purposes.
7) Use for criticism or defamation.

3. Disclaimers, other matters.

1) OCVB cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any problems that may occur as the result of use of photographic material.
2) Site users are requested to ensure that there are no mistakes regarding the contents represented in photographic material (facilities, locations, etc.)
3) In the event of use of photographic material, site users are requested to include the credit of one of the below titles without fail:
•Okinawa Convention & Visitors Bureau •OCVB
5) Please send a PDF or JPEG format image of the finished product that uses the photographic material.
6) In cases where loaned items such as photographic positives are damaged or lost, site users are requested to bear the costs for any restoration or reproduction. Furthermore, in cases where lost items are found, site users are also requested to bear the reproduction costs if the said goods are not returned before the request for reproduction is made.
7) Personal information obtained during an inquiry may be used for further contact from OCVB, but other than this, will under no circumstances be used or transferred to a third party without permission.
